Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 9g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin, transforms Phlegm-Heat, drains Fire and relieves toxicity.
Rx. Salviae Miltiorrhizae Dan Shen 9g Nourishes and invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, soothes irritability, the Blood and calms the Spirit.
Rx. Adenophorae Nan Sha Shen 12g Nourishes Yin, moistens the Lungs, dispels Phlegm and stops cough.
Poria Fu Ling 12g Quiets the Heart, calms the Spirit, soothes the nerves, strengthens the Spleen and transforms Phlegm.
Sm. Platycladi Bai Zi Ren 9g Nourishes the Heart, calms the Spirit and astringes Yin Deficiency sweat.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 9g Moistens the Lungs, nourishes Yin, stops cough, clears the Heart and eliminates irritability.
With Xuan Shen and Jie Geng, for an itchy, dry throat, thirst and a nonproductive cough due to Lung Yin Deficiency.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 9g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
Bul. Fritillariae Cirrhosae Chuan Bei Mu 9g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, stops cough and nourishes and moistens the Lungs.
With Xing Ren, for a nonproductive cough from Lung Deficiency disorders.
Sm. Armeniacae Xing Ren 9g Stops cough and calms wheezing.
With Mai Men Dong, for a dry cough due to Dryness and Heat injuring the Lungs.
Flos Albizziae He Huan Hua 9g Relieves Stagnant Liver Qi, promotes the flow of Qi in the collaterals, harmonizes the Stomach and calms the Shen.
